I used to use a gas powered trimmer and it was hard to start, cumbersome, loud, and the exhaust was terrible. This is a great replacement. The battery surprisingly lasts a long time. I trim about 4-6 large bushes at a time and this thing keeps going. Very convenient to just press a button and go. The plastic seems hard and a bit cheap but I've had no issues with cracking or damage. Make sure the battery clicks into place before trying to start.
